Active Image    Qigong (Chi Kung) has a long tradition in China. It is known as an over 5000 years old form of slow movements, breathing exercises, meditation, mental exercises, healing, postures and relaxation form. Although different stories about its development, it was most likely born out of the improve coping mechanism for changes in climate.

In China there are over 4000 Qi Gong forms and Zhineng Qigong is officially recognized as one of the 5 most effective ones by the China Sports Buero.

Qi is in the Chinese script written as a symbol showing how steam ascends from cooked rice, emphasizing the nourishing aspects of the life force Qi. Gong means practice, work. Thus Qigong is the name of a method of activity resulting in gathering and activating Qi throughout your body in order to maintain your health or start a healing process.

All Qigong forms share the common combinations of the physical and mental exercises and the teachings of the Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Daoism (Chinese Philosophy based upon the Dao De Jing - The power of Dao by Lao Tse)

Most of the ancient and current Qigong forms are very complicated to learn. Only a few, very dedicated and specifically gifted students with great discipline and persistence were able to follow their Master and learned to effectively activate Qi for themselves and others.

Dr. Pang Ming, the founder of Zhineng Qigong had something different in mind. He was driven to create a Qigong form, easy to learn and to apply and yet highly effective. His profound knowledge of Tai Chi and Qigong as well as Western and Chinese medicine lead him to develop Zhineng Qigong in the late 70s, which took off almost over night and spread to millions of Chinese people within a very short time.

In the late 80s Dr. Pang Ming founded the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Training & Recreation Center in China, where patients became students in his world wide first medical free hospital. They were diagnosed by doctors upon arrival and afterwards formed student groups who practiced Zhineng Qigong under the instructions of authorized teachers.

They practiced 8-12 hours of Zhineng Qigong daily for at least 4 weeks and curing illnesses for which the traditional medicine sometimes offered no cure.

Over the years more than 300.000 students started the self healing programs in the Huaxia Center. Year by year 180 different diseases were treated with an overall effective healing rate of 95%. Among those diseases were cancer, diabetes, heart diseases, deafness, paralysis, low and high blood pressure, arthritis etc.
